Can I join even if I have never played before?
Yes, we welcome all players of all abilities.

Who is my coach?
Each training session is led by a professional coach with support coaches and volunteer coaches. Match coaches may be professionals or volunteers.
How do I join?
We would ask that new members when joining and coming to training complete the appropriate membership form from our website prior to training.

If you don't have a stick, please let us know and we have spare club sticks that can be brought to training until you are able to provide your own.
Can I choose my own shirt number?
No, members cannot choose their own shirt number.
How much does it cost?

When I have paid the membership, is there anything else to pay?
For players that play matches, there are match fees to pay, these payments are requested each school half term. Match fees go towards pitch hire and food after each game.
Does it matter if I can't attend all training sessions or matches due to work/family?
No, it doesn't matter that you can't make all training or matches, but it may effect the team you are selected for that week's match.
When does the hockey season start?
The hockey season runs from September to March with weekly training and matches.
Our end of season event is typically held in April.
Summer Training runs from June to July.
Pre-season starts in August, ready for the new season in September.
What happens if I want to start after the season has started?
We welcome members and encourage you to join at any point in the hockey season.
What time are matches played?
This can vary depending on whether this is a home or away game and the team played.
How will I find out which team I will be in?
The teams are selected on Spond, and this will notify you of the team selection.
How many junior teams do you have?
8 Junior teams.
What are teas?
Teas are meals provided after matches for the home and away teams and Sandbach returns to Sandbach Rugby club for these.
Do you have any other social events?
Yes, we do some socials outside of training and matches. These are arranged during the season for both the senior teams and junior teams.
Do you still train during the summer?
Yes, we have summer training running from June to July.
